Peter commenced his property career in the mid 1990s. He completed an Advanced Certificate in Property Agency, then a Diploma of Real Estate Management, followed by a Bachelor of Business (Property Economics). Peter enjoyed working in many varied roles including as a Property Officer for the Department of Defence, Property Manager for the Australian Technology Park, Facilities Coordinator for Planning NSW, and then as Manager – Property Administration for Perpetual Trustees with a portfolio of around 1000 properties nationwide.
In 2002 Peter decided a change of scene would be a good move and relocated to
Hobart. He worked under contract as a Property Consultant for Hydro Tasmania and the Department of Education before taking up a role as a Property Analyst at the Office of the Valuer General, then acquired his qualification as a Certified Property Valuer.
After a long stint in this Government role, Peter took up a private sector position as a Residential Valuer. He was asked to assist the Linking Melbourne Authority to
manage their acquired properties for the East West Link Tunnel Project as well as
acting as an Acquisitions Negotiator. This was a project he was proud to be
associated with and found most satisfying, but unfortunately a change of
Government resulted in the most unusual situation, cancellation of the project.
Peter’s most recent role prior to joining LJ Hooker Commercial Hobart, was as a
Commercial Valuer based in the Melbourne CBD.
